Where the Path Began

Kwami Adoboe-Herrera is a survivor of child labor trafficking and the founder of Teleios Path. Born in Togo, West Africa, Kwami was trafficked to the United States at the age of seven under the false promise of education. Instead, he was forced into domestic labor, working long hours without rest, care, or access to school.

For years, Kwami endured physical, emotional, and psychological abuse. It wasn’t until a compassionate teacher noticed the signs of trafficking—his fatigue, inappropriate clothing, and visible injuries—that his life began to change. She took action, ultimately leading to Kwami’s rescue and placement into the foster care system. He was later adopted by a loving family in Michigan who helped him begin his journey toward healing.

Kwami never forgot the isolation, the language barriers, and the lack of support he experienced as a young male survivor. He founded Teleios Path to make sure no one else walks that path alone. Today, Kwami is a passionate advocate for human trafficking awareness and male survivor support. Through Teleios Path, he is creating the very resources he once needed—safe shelter, tailored support, and a community grounded in compassion.

“Be therefore perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect.”
